okay i cant decdie what to buy
iv narrowed it down to these two.
now iv heard good things about the bassballs, it seems popular, but the demo sounds frankly [Fly a Kite], so can people help me out on that one? more demos would be cool
not heard much about the micro q tron, seems to get good reviews again
im just after an envelope effect, whether it be auto wah like or something different like the bassballs, i jus want somethin like that on the board.
btw im guessing the micro qtron/nano bassballs sound the same as a normal bassballs/micro qtron?, just smaller boxes and better power jacks? -
no i mean i personally see it like more of a distortion, i see fuzzes like the really compressed sounding ones...
thats was [Fly a Kite]ly explained, i know what i mean -
i always put compressors before fuzz/distortion, as after they mess with the tone quite a lot, but i guess its alright if you turn it off
-
ye muffs are fine, but i dont really class that as a proper fuzz
-
od's are fine with all basses far as i know, fuzzes are generally not

lol im actually gettin a really great compressed sounding fuzz tone out of the pedal, settings have changed a bit since that pic was taken, now both gains are at maax, level is about 12 o clock, but iv got the boost activated, sounds great! amazed out how versatile it is
-
ah right, cool
-
just out of interest, why did you choose this pedal to tour the uk? i would have thought it woulda been cooler to send round a more interesting effect, say a valvetone or a bob the blender

update
i got over the hiss problem with the odb-3, coz i actually like the overdrive it gives, so ye its on the board -
-
i thought bad of them the moment i tried the envelope filter, horrible pedal
-
certainly put the chorus last in line
id do it: oc-2 > small stone > bassballs > chorus -
-
how many have we got doin this now then?
-
felt like bein random
-
yup, i just cant make my mind up on this one, but i think im swaying towards selling, i dont realy need a delay at the moment, and i dont realy use/need the pitchshifting or the arpegiator
looking for £92.56, shipped, which is pretty much the same price the last one went for on uk ebay
excellent condition, slight chipping under input jack, but otherwise perfect, comes with box and the manual, which is pretty much needed with this pedal
cheers! -
altering the impedanc produced by an active pickup so that it is more like a passive pick up
i dont know any technical terming, but i think thats the gist of it, its certainly nothing to do with volume -
so that active basses will work with fuzzes
-
hows it going then?
-
my metal zone is up for sale now, for £40.
if it sells, then il take the odb-3 off you -
anyone had any experience with this? seems to get good reviews, and is a reasonable price at thomann
-
fancy trading the odb-3 for a metal zone?
EHX nano bassballs or micro q-tron?

went to music shop today
tried the bassballs, hated it, had a really weird sound to it when you hit the note, like in the demo video for it, and i jus didnt like it so that was out
was prety impressed with the micro q tron, so i bought that
