Bump for a beaut bass! Played this at a funk jam over the weekend....damn I'm going to miss it if this goes...

Man, I just keep on coming back to this beauty.....just about every detail of this bass from the split block inlays and binding to the amazing tobacco burst over the flamed maple body is sublime.....even though it's not my choice shape of bass, this is one sexy muthafunker. I wish I had the readies to grab this! Best of luck with it dude.

I had a completely unheard of Tanglewood which I ended up selling to Carlos in Spain and I've regretted it ever since. I tried to buy it back but it's somewhere else in Europe now, but that sold for around £350 (IIRC) and was probably worth triple that in terms of materials and build quality; certainly stood up to any Warwicks, Spectors or other mid/mid-high range basses I've tried. It's been upgraded with better electronics since and now it sounds utterly amazing. One day, it will be mine again GLWTS!

Just out of idle curiosity, what trades are you interested in on this? Not that I have any trade bait, but someone else might?

Recently watched a support band playing at The Finsbury in London where the singer was rocking a stunning Spector; I asked him after the show what one it was because it had an awesome tone; 'Actually, it's a Tanglewood Bassmaster Funk' he said. Colour me surprised. If I wasn't selling basses to raise funds myself, I'd buy this in an instant - you are talking a whole LOT of bang for your buck - at £170 you can't possibly go wrong!

I'd wager that most people have never heard of Blade before (though probably have heard of founder Gary Levinson), but they're mighty fine instruments!

Wow. Never seen a blade bass before but my guitarist has a couple of blade guitars he plays and their tone is amazing. The built quality is also pretty amazing ; I guess the basses follow suite? Good luck with the sale, that is a stunning looking bass!
