1. Last punt bump before this goes up for sale outside of Basschat...
2. Damn man.....just been checking out some videos of this bass.....beautiful p-bass tone with looks and versatility to go with it. I wish I had anything to offer by way of trade....the more I see of these Xotic basses, the more I get GAS for one.
3. Amazing! What are the controls?! Never seen a p bass with more than 2 control knobs
4. Very nice bass dude! You got any recordings of it? Not sure I've ever heard an Alembic in the flesh!
5. Reduced to £900 delivered to UK mainland; this weekend only.
6. Bump for the lovely tone and great looks - new pictures added
7. Jens Ritter is a genius; a world class luthier with hi-fi fanaticism, German engineering skills and an unparalleled appreciation for bass finishes....one day I will own a Ritter bass. Sadly it won't be now Best of luck with the sale, these things are nothing short of incredible!
8. Passive? Just take out the battery As for the £1K...if this were in 6 months, it'd be burning a hole in my pocket!
9.
Big mistake selling this...especially at this price....to quote Frank... "regrets, I've had a few...but then again..."
Yes....I'm starting to think that too. Playing on it right now as it goes.....rapidly thinking I need to keep it; to quote GOB 'I've made a huge mistake'.
10. Bump for a beaut bass! Played this at a funk jam over the weekend....damn I'm going to miss it if this goes...
11. Aye carumba, that flamed maple fretboard is outrageous! Beautiful. GLWTS!
12. Man, I just keep on coming back to this beauty.....just about every detail of this bass from the split block inlays and binding to the amazing tobacco burst over the flamed maple body is sublime.....even though it's not my choice shape of bass, this is one sexy muthafunker. I wish I had the readies to grab this! Best of luck with it dude.
13. I had a completely unheard of Tanglewood which I ended up selling to Carlos in Spain and I've regretted it ever since. I tried to buy it back but it's somewhere else in Europe now, but that sold for around £350 (IIRC) and was probably worth triple that in terms of materials and build quality; certainly stood up to any Warwicks, Spectors or other mid/mid-high range basses I've tried. It's been upgraded with better electronics since and now it sounds utterly amazing. One day, it will be mine again GLWTS!
14. Just out of idle curiosity, what trades are you interested in on this? Not that I have any trade bait, but someone else might?
15. Recently watched a support band playing at The Finsbury in London where the singer was rocking a stunning Spector; I asked him after the show what one it was because it had an awesome tone; 'Actually, it's a Tanglewood Bassmaster Funk' he said. Colour me surprised. If I wasn't selling basses to raise funds myself, I'd buy this in an instant - you are talking a whole LOT of bang for your buck - at £170 you can't possibly go wrong!
16. PM's replied and more pics posted: https://drive.google.com/folder/d/0BxG_g-g-TNKTQW8wWGp6UUo0WkU/edit
17.
What a gorgeous Jazz. I would be scared of dinging it!
Speaking of being scared of dinging it.....I've just seen your incredible Waghorn....though I'm more of a traditional bass shape kind of guy, that thing is a piece of sheer and utter beauty. Kind of wish I had £2K to take it off your hands!
18. Thanks for the interest all; PM's replied to - sorry for the delay!
19. Go on Barrie, grab it and if you don't like it, I'll buy it off you in 6 months!
