1. Hi I have mastered & recorded several CDs for commercial release using Adobe audition which I think is a great DAW and editor, very straightforward and similar in core concept to Audacity although much more sophisticated. I have used this alongside Ableton Live 4 (a very early version) for nearly 10 years with no issues. Audition used to be known as Cool Edit pro in a simpler form and was developed by Syntrllium before being bought out by Adobe who saw it as a way in to the DAW market. You can track down demos of Cool Edit online I believe. No idea of the retail cost now. I tried Audacity when I used a Mac for a while but found it too restrictive. Good luck!

2. I've had a lot of corresponcence with this chap who sent me a photobucket link, he tells me he has no real knowledge about the bass other than what he found on the net and was told when he got it. The pictures show that the neck has Schallers installed and a late 70s serial that checks out. He hasn't had the neck off since he owned it and had no knowledge of pot codes etc. I'm assuming the body is a replacement. I decided not to go for it as I have found another bass I'm interested in that is totally original. It may be worth contacting him if anyone is interested in the bass as he seems genuine enough and is willing to negotiate.

Have a look on the Shergold forum there are a few wiring suggestions and diagrams on there you can get to it via - http://www.shergold.co.uk/ cheers!

4. I've had a few of these and they are very good, first decent long scale bass I owned was a Marathon MK1 with an extra Dimarzio Jazz pickup at the bridge, great neck on it. I'm interested in this where are you based?

5. This looks an interesting bass what are the measurements of it? Is the action and intonation ok and how does it sound? I'm interested in a smaller bass as it would suit my recent move to a smaller house! PM me with more details/pics if you have the opportunity. Thanks.

6. OK this is the original speaker taken from a GK MB150 combo I purchased and subsequently sold a couple of years ago - this speaker has the usual rubber seal rot associated with these combo's speakers and will need a recone. It did work but rather fartily when taken out and replaced. I bought the amp off Charlie Haden's road manager who told me it was Charlie's own old amp...so a bit of memorabilia too? I need to shift this in precisely 5 days from today otherwise it hits the tip as I'm moving house. Sorry I can't post it as I have no time so if you live in the Lancaster/lakes area PM me and we can arrange you to pick it up. Now Gone!

7. Here's an Alto 12 channel desk I bought whilst my soundcraft desk was being serviced, this is a nice all in one desk with direct outs and subgroups so can be used for recording duties too especially if you have a multiple i/o soundcard. The effects are pretty good and it all works as it should with a few dusty pots, it looks virtually new and has a decent eq and also a graphic. Specs are here http://www.directpro...?directid=53954
I'd rather it picked up but am willing to negotiate sending it in the UK only. Really need to shift this, no trades just cold hard cash/paypal gift. Its a bargain! First £100 before I stick it on fleabay. Cheers

8. OK its not ultra powerful with zillions of features but it makes a fairly decent noise and is well made, I don't need this anymore and am moving house so its really got to go. Its around 10 watts with a 10" speaker and is pretty heavy. £5 takeaway. No postage or couriers so please don't ask! I need it carting off asap as I'm moving house in a week - aaagh!!! Its in good condition functionally and cosmetically although the pots are a bit mucky.
As ever the uploader failed but I'm sure you know what these look like.

9. I had a Musicmaster my first bass when I was at school, my Mum & Dad got it for me mail order from Kingfisher Music, secondhand and shop soiled for the princely sum of £85 - I sold the bass on of course (if anyone out there has a cream one with a large darker oblong patch on the upper front of the body that may be my old Musicmaster :( ) but I still have the original price ticket and the owners manual! Great little basses - have a nostalgic bump on me.
