1. This is now SOLD! Selling off a few things to make room for new projects, this is an original Tokai Jazz Sound 'Oldies But Goldies' in original - and rare - metallic blue finish. Made in Japan with an L series prefix serial making it an '83 model. This is the series of instruments that made CBS scratch their heads and invent the Squier brand! This bass is an exceptional player and light and well balanced with a killer Jazz tone. It really nails that sweet spot Jazz sound (hence the name!). It's in excellent condition with a couple of minor dings and chips to the finish on the edges. The logo is intact (often they faded, were rubbed off or they were replaced with the 'F' word) and is the rare block type only used during a short period of production (presumably due to copyright issues). The neck is straight and frets are fine, the only non original feature is that the scratchplate has been sprayed black at some point. As near to a vintage jazz as you'll get for less than a new MIM Jazz.
I'm looking at around 300 for it as I need a quick sale and that my bass playing friends is a bloody bargain for a 27 year old Jap Tokai!

Please note I won't respond to any personal messages from scammers. Please leave this forum and its legitimate members alone. We've all heard these ridiculous sob stories many times before don't waste our time and insult our intelligence. Cheers.

  2.
Its the old streamer standard, prerequisite to the Rockbass, only they were actually made in germany and have a proper Warwick Ovankgol neck. Often see the 4 strings going for cheap prices on here, this is the first 5 i have seen and i actually really quite like it! Alot of bass for the money!
Yes it's a proper german one, thought I'd pass it on to someone who appreciates this kind of neck as it doesn't really do it for me - I'm a bit of a traditionalist. I'll also be putting my old 83 Tokai 'Jazzsound' on here shortly as I need to thin down my collection as currently looking for a new project.

  3. Selling my Warwick Streamer Standard 5 string, its a German one in excellent conditon with only a few small dings and a bit of buckle rash on the back. Plays and sounds great. I'm willing to post at cost if necessary. Looking for 295 cash. Message me for more info but I think this sums it up.

  4. Hi, the streamer is the two pickup version, German made with passive electrics and two soapbars (MEC), its newly strung and is in a dark natural finish with a lovely neck again dark (wenge?). The neck is in excellent condition with little fretwear, the body has a bit of bucklerash and here are a couple of minor dings, typical built like a tank German engineering! I'm new to this forum so not sure about posting pics, I ccould send pics via email though. It comes with a Warwick gigbag. I'm happy to post it by the way. The string spacing is good, not too wide but I don't play it enough and I'm after a nice Jazz.
Pics on my recent post for it here - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=106327
