3.
Not bad Si, cheers. Could do you with you casting a quick seo eye over this one if you don't mind. http://robotrobotrobot.net/ I think I have done okay. I have used a <h1> tag and a few <h2>'s. I have alt tagged everything and titled the links. I have used a couple of spellings of t-shirt. And the greatest move is just having it all on one page! How is the italian job going?
Hi Paul, Ped found some sticky stuff .. Can you PM/email me with this on Friday? Bit snowed under for a few days .. Allegedly the work on the W&T starts next week ... I have to say when it comes to bass building Erick and Enrico seem to have a more Germanic than Italian approach to dates and times. Generally things happen when they say they will
 4.
sx guitars
? Loads of them Here's the UK dealer list http://www.lxdb.co.uk/guitars/sx-guitars.php If you mean the decent SX basses as per Rondo Music in the US then we have Jim Deacon and Noname - almost certainly the same make with a different badge. Not as much variation but buying from Rondo isn't that painful.
 5. Hum aparrently not ... I'll give Ped a shout ... How are you ol' chap?
 6. He's nover owned a VW Passat past year 7 when they start to fall apart in tiny but expensive ways ... Nicely written advert though.

 8.
On Friday, my band ESKIMO SANDWICH played at The Duchess in York. Great gig, our drummer couldn't make it so we had to train up a replacement in a week,
Ha ha He looks as relaxed as a rabbit in headlights
 9.
It should be with his attitude. I just cant get over this. Even turning it off or down on the master i can understand but to destroy the mix is un believable. Although looking at him maybe not. I must admit this guy looked a bit aggressive so i wasn't going to get in to an argument with him. And its not something you do in front of the wedding couple anyway. They didn't seem to mind too much, in fact they apologised for what happened but as we only use combo's and a vocal PA imagine someones wedding reception will be ruined at some point.
What a dork.

 11.
Would wouldn't like this? I wouldn't like this. I often wonder how much of the entirely ludicrous rigs on big stages like that can be actually turned on before the level of on-stage sound becomes lethal... Knowing Pantera, probably all of it.
In the example I gave, one head and one cab May as well be wallpaper. Reminds me of Status Quo. In an interview recently one of them let slip that their sound comes not from the walls of Marshalls behind them but from an AC30, hidden insde an empty Marshall cab ...
 12. Nice stuff. That looks really good and so much better than the drawings
Goodness! So I guess it,s a fuzz box, so what else does it do?
Thats brilliant .. The nearest bit says Rangemaster so I guess you can do the cooking on tour too.
 14. Same rules as anyone else. Number one is you have to be entertaining and number two is you have to tell people when you are playing. Forget either of those and you will be playing to no one and have trouble getting gigs you don't organise yourself. It's easy to tell if you are entertaining, people come to see you twice and they bring their mates with them to see you the second time. if that's not happening you need to be objective about your material or your show. Being in your 50's isn't a problem if you are entertaining to younger people. If they don't do that then yes, they will struggle to find an audience as our fellow old gits don't go out as much and many are staid and stuffy and stuck in their comfortable Mustang Sally populated comfort zones. Many of their ears/cars have "New music? No thanks" stickers ... If they just want the fun of playing then a rehearsal studio will be less hassle. They just have to organise the date and pay for the room, no trying to convice a venue booking person that they can bring an audience with them. Oh and if you are "building a following" playing last on a multiple band night like that is not the best thing to do. You want to play earlier when you have just a bit of a chance of finding someone in the other bands' following that may like you too. Last does not equal "top of the bill" unless you are the big draw. Likewise playing earlier isn't a "support" slot.
 15.
...you have a cat made of wood? kudos!
er doesn't everyone?
 16. If that is a £120 bass you may want to come clean and offer to buy her a new one. If the damage is bad the cost of getting it fixed may be better spent on getting a better bass. Unless she is really attached to it that is in which case I'd wear a box and stand well back when you tell her.... Oh and you'll never find a bass that will fool her into thinking it's the same one, if that was your intention (like the cat in "Meet the parents" what rot.. ). They have characteristics and small marks and things like wood grain patterns that owners notice.
 17.
Si, Did you get the Glowdotz in the UK or order from the States? Exactly what i have been looking for.
Hiyah Bassbunny. Damn fine SX you built here. Thanks. I got the dots from Fretlord in the US. Cost about £15 all in. http://www.fretlord.com/glowdotz.htm When you order remember to "buy" the international delivery add-on to the order. Otherwise you'll think you've ordered but he'll send you an additional paypal request .. trouble is he doesn't notice for a while so your delivery is delayed You get a strip with large (front) and small (side) circles. They don't really glow for vey long in total darkness but they are the best stick-on option I've found since Letraset stopped selling 3mm white dots ...
 18. Stick an XL aside for me this time? Ta
 19. Blige, that was fast! Sold subject to the usual.....
 20. Great idea.. Keen to see/hear one in action. Can you Bristol guys give me a shout when it gets to you? Ta.
 21. Bought this from Beerdragon a few months ago .. An impending Japanese P bass delivery prompts this sale. This is an SX/Noname '62 Sunburst / Tortoise / Rosewood Precision copy Here's some blurb which I have plagiarized mercilessly from Beerdragon, and Bassbunny who built it. There's more info on his original sale thread here The cavity has been fully lined with copper. The scratchplate has been foil backed. It's eerily quiet for a P bass The basswood (I assume) body is unmarked and has a fine sunburst and deep gloss finish. Pickup is a Wizard Thumper with CTS Pots, Switchcraft Jack and Sprague capacitor. All wiring is in vintage cloth covered wire and the pot/capacitor values were decided upon after a chat with Andy at Wizard pickups. The bridge has been replaced with a Wilkinson Vintage bridge with Brass Saddles. New string tree and Fecker transfer, (lacquered over) it has a really nice neck, plays and sounds just great, fools the unknowing and gives the knowledgeable a laugh. It has Glowdotz side markers ('cos I just can't see those tiddly things Fender and SX use ) They are white but will glow in the dark if you shine a light on them first It's got new Trace Elliot light gauge strings with lovely green cotton windings, not shown in the pics. I'd like the £150 I paid for it (plus postage) with a tatty but functional gig bag but without the cat. PX of a Dunlop 105Q Bass Wah is possible.
 22. I'm assuming we've included all the makers from the "Recommended Luthiers" thread http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...post&p=1780 Paul, you don't seem to be on there ......
