This squid viciuos Tshirt was on sale at topman, but annoyingly I couldn't find one that fitted well.
Typical! A great idea spoiled by a lack of attention to detail - a 4 string strat? -
Will do, thanks. Just fyi, the site went live yesterday and has just got indexed by Google. It is now appearing on page 8 of the search results for my top search term "robot t-shirt". I am pretty pleased with that for such a generic term. I will tweak a few things and see if I can't improve it. But I think it's more down to inbound links now.
Yeah you may make number one/page one for the name but the terms "robot" and "t shirt are just too generic to enable you to do much other than be there if someone searches for you under rule 1: They know you exist and they know you have a website. In on-topic terms that's like trying to get to number one/page one for "band" or "soul band".. It just isn't going to happen. Great bass robot tee shirt You should go to town on the descriptions of each design on it's own page, ah that seems to be off site.. is that out of your control?

The Perfect Bass (it's a bass specialist store in the US) has a video part on their website. If you ever wondered what the difference between a Jazz and a Precision was here's the answer. It's all about slaps and chops, apparently, but not in the way you're thinking http://www.theperfectbass.com/live/flash/s..._jbass_ftp.html
Sounds great. As part of my diploma we have to have a band and play gigs around the country. I know a couple of guys starting the course in September. I reckon that by October we'll have a band that's ready to be "heard". It'd be a great if you could get us a gig. We all play pretty mainstream contemporary jazz, mainly originals and it's probably going to stay in that area. I duno whether that's the kinda thing your after. We could play 10 mins at the open mic later in the year and then you can make a decision from there. I'll stay in touch, I think I need a contact like you. Thanks a bunch.
Just don't play Summertime
I'm intrigued by Les Claypool's Bassjo. I must have spent an hour on google trying to find one. I also like the Resonator bass. Both ideas are really quite silly but appeal to my tastes. I also thought Pete Turner (from Elbow / cover star) appears to have both my dress sense and taste in basses!
I had a resonator bass, the idea being to play acoustically and to keep up with a couple of acoustic guitars. Although a bit louder than a "normal" acoustic it sounded awful and still didn't manage it. Amplified, however, it was almost a double bass sound .. Oh that's Pete Turner on teh cover. I thought it was Crab Man from My Name is Earl! I'm really enjoying this issue. and + on Stu Hamm. He's doing a few workshops soon too. There's a date list in the mag.
Can someone explain to me why I have never owned a P-Bass... not even a copy? Even though I occasionally play my singers 75' P-Bass and its lovely?
Cos you've not PM'd me an offer for my 79 P bass?
-
I was about to say you have more P-basses than me until I realised you are selling most of them! The CIJ stuff is always excellent. Nice collection, a shame to break it up
Well it's not a collection as such. It's a transient state en route to a 3 bass sollution
Nice, apart from the red ones
Ha ha It's funny but I didn't think I like red ones but I seem to be really laid back about colours these days, as long sas tehy play and sound Ok.
Nice set, I'm particularly liking the vintage white 62 RI
Ta Each is different and fine in it's own way. I have yet to play the Japanese ones in a gig situation to decide between them. The 62 is my natural choice as rosewood feels best. However the cheeky old '57 has a nice feel too .. Oh dear!
