1.
I'm in a band that plays soul / 60s stuff. The singer's into rock, the guitarist is into REM, the drummer is into habitually letting the rest of the band down and I like Steely Dan. It's all about compromises / common ground etc and if you need the money, what pays. I'd stay put and keep your eye open for the opportunity to play what you really want to play.
+1. Definitely the way to play it IME. Heard any of the stuff from Becker's "Circus Money" yet?
 2.
I feel tempted to start a funk club, TB style...
Count me in.........................as long as there's no entry audition.
 3.
You might all like a side project called Citrus Sun which was basically Incognito minus their guitarist/songwriter "Bluey" Maunick replaced with Jim Mullen of Morrisey Mullen fame. Very nice funky stuff.
Good grief!! I've heard of Citrus Sun but I had no idea it was Mr Mullen on guitar!?!? That's a recommendation if ever I heard one. I shall be checking that out for sure. Thanks alot for that.
 4. Great band IMHO!! Their "Last Night in Tokyo" has to be one of THE best live albums I've ever heard - certainly in this genre.
 5. And mine................ Still fairly new to me, but I'm absolutely loving it, that's for sure.
 6. If you read this thread, you'll see how slow and "challenging" things Ashdown seem to be at the moment: Ashdown Mag Rig Took me about a month to sell and, even then , I discounted it by over 15% on what I considered to be a very fair initial asking price, especially considering it was in excellent order AND included branded covers. Just a case of being patient I think. Best of luck with the sale anyway.
 7.
Awesome!! I'm happy for the both of you. I've followed this thread with great fascination from the start. Ummm... does it come with a kettle lead though?
It does indeed.
 8. Finally - my faith in human nature is about to be restored. A newbie BCer has seen the light and a sale has been agreed pending payment.
 9. No, I'm going to list them together, as they are here, but for a higher price. I'm convinced that I'll not have a problem on eBay, but time will tell I suppose. I'm still slightly gobsmacked that nobody has snapped them up, but there you go!! LOL
 10.
Oh I don't have credit cards. And if I did, I wouldn't have any credit available on them.
Ironically, I'm EXACTLY the same.
 11.
I'd have these if it wasn't for all the tardy paying customers I'm lumbered with this month. Cash has stopped flowing entirely.
There's always your "flexible friend".
 12.
Free Bump. £295 what a bargain, bite his hand off someone! I sometimes use Friday Ad to get rid of stuff, have you tried that! Good Luck Graham
Never heard of it!! I'll have a gander and see what I can do. Thanks for that. Neil
 13. If you managed not to lose money, I think you can chalk it up as a victory!! LOL
 14. You and me both bro'!! LOL
 15. Bump for price tweak and edit. Final week before this rig goes the way of all things and heads for eBay. It was a steal at £350 and, at £295, I think I need my head examined.
 16.
Oh I agree it's a great wee setup for the money. If all else fails, you'll shift it on eBay without much bother I'd imagine!
You'll not be surprised to hear that is Plan B.
 17.
Is this the same cab, for £130 brand new? (I could be totally wrong of course!) http://www.rockingrooster.co.uk/product_info.php?PID=434 If this is the same cab, maybe £125 is a bit too much when you can get it brand new for a fiver extra? One of these cabs sold on ebay recently for £80: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ashdown-MAG-115-Deep...1QQcmdZViewItem The combo is about £300 brand new, so £200 does seem a fair price for that. It's a very nice setup!
Yes, it is the same cab which, from the quoted supplier, would cost you £154 including UK mainland delivery but, of course, you would get no branded cover. I remain open to very near offers on both the Combo and the Cab and I only offered to split the items on advice from fellow BCers. I maintain that £300 for this rig in this condition including covers represents astonishing value for money and I would rather not sell it at all than sell it for substantially less than that. Almost everyone else who has posted in this thread would seem to agree, Your comments appreciated, nevertheless.
 18. Another update today. Gigs starting to come in for 2009 now, which is slightly scary. LOL
 19. Thank you kindly Sir. It is pretty unbelievable isn't it? Luckily, I'm a very patient sort of a chap. LOL
