I’d venture that 1 and 3 were Ps. Where are the answers?

Soundblox2 Bass distortion Vs Soundblox 2 Bass Modeller OFD
Quatschmacher replied to known as Signal path's topic in Effects
Of the two, the OFD is newer. It’s superseded by the Aftershock (though still pretty cool if you want to avoid using a PC or mobile app to make deeper edits). -

No supplied PSU. It takes a standard 9V centre negative supply of 100mA. All FIs are the same internally. Difference between FI I and FI v3 is just a (free) software update and the different decal. Do a search of the classifieds to see what the last few have sold for.

Yes, he did mention them, along with a few other choices. I’ve not heard them so went with something I had heard.

He says he can get the pickup from Bass Direct as they have it in stock, so should be OK. I’m getting Nordstrand PJs in my MIDIbass though.

Went over on Wednesday to take another colour sample for the paint mixing as I’d changed my mind on the exact colour. Now got tuner holes in the neck too. Should get to check out the mixed paint in the next couple of weeks and then it’ll be sprayed. Looks like Fralin is experiencing long delays on getting pickups made and sent so Jon will source them elsewhere (BD).

Mine is Octave (currently MXR VBO) into a Zvex Mastotron and then those in the loop of the Source Audio Spectrum. Have used other (analogue) filters such as Chromatron, Enigma but the Spectrum gives the best control over envelope shape and has most of the relevant controls accessible from the panel.

An amazing 2-, 4- and 6-stage analog phaser that also does tremolo and boost and a whole host of other cool stuff via the dip switches. MIDI capable with 122 onboard presets. First two are accessible directly using the toggle switch. The centre position is a “live panel” mode where the settings correspond to the actual knob and switch positions. In outstanding condition. Comes with all the original box, bag, sticker and paperwork. These are discontinued and difficult to get hold of now. I’m not really taking advantage of all the MIDI options and am probably better off with a simpler 4/6-stage phaser. Actual postage costs to be added (Special Delivery fully insured). I’ll let one of the best demoers take you through this (though he mistakenly refers to the “8-stage” setting, but it’s actually only 6):

Source Audio is about to launch an adapter that obliviates the need for the Hub.

Annoying tax bill and other gear purchase plans mean that this probably needs to go. Only had it a few weeks so haven’t had so much time to get attached to it. Collection in Sheffield preferred though potentially it could be handed over at a meet-up or delivered in person, depending on location. Comes with a (non-original) case which has a bit of structural damage on one side so I wouldn’t want to ship it in it really. Asking what I paid for it. No more, no less.

It’s a question of good muting between each note. I found that using synth pedals highlighted problems in my technique, mainly that I wasn’t alternating fingers strictly, which in turn caused muting issues. The Gary Willis muting technique of placing the non-plucking finger on the string immediately after the plucking finger has played the note works well. This in combination with left-hand muting between notes should help a lot. You can actually use the C4 as a practice tool to work on these things.

Yes, I realised about the long wait times, hence the last sentence which I appended about a minute after posting. Hmrc sets the rate for the calendar month a few days before the beginning of the month, so the rate for the whole of July this year was set on 27th June. The rate is fixed for the whole calendar month. So if your item is processed by customs on any day within that month, that is the rate that will be applied.

Source Audio UltraWave (One Series Multiwave distortion)

If what you are using has usb host facility, then no. Also, SA are soon launching an adapter which will act as a host and means the Hub isn’t required.
