I always thought it strange that the Moog original didn't include a downward/reverse option on the envelope follower, and the Behringer looks like it repeats that. What's the point if you can't get that "bowwwp!" sound? I don't think I ever use my envelope filter in the normal upwards setting, the quack irritates me quickly.

This might just be my personal weird preoccupation...

Yeah, that was one of the reasons I returned the new one I bought. You needed to buy the control processor just to get a down sweep.

PastFX do an excellent 101 clone in a normal-sized enclosure with solid build quality so I’m not as interested in this particular Behringer version, though I’m sure it’ll be good.

Do you own a footer to put it next to? It might be the size of the knobs they used, but it looks even wider (but a bit shorter) than the Moog. Making it wider is a bit of a p11s take really because they were obscene to start with. I still can't believe I used to gig with 5 of them (and a Moog MP-201).

That Black Pearl looks tasty though!

I don’t; I think the footprint is slightly smaller but deeper.

Black Pearl is a loaner for comparison. Tempted to get one.

Gigging with 5 MF pedals is mad.

Need PastFX to make one of their shrunk-down clones of this like they did with the 101.

  3. It’s a big beast; comically large. Can’t realistically get this on my Aclam board

Knobs aren’t bolted to the case, which is disappointing, but I suspected might be the case, given the price. Sounds nice though. Seems to be a fair amount of top end roll-off compared to the Black Pearl (another MF-103 clone); the Wombtone has much more high-end clarity.

Not sure whether I’ll keep it, mainly due to the knobs and the size.

I had a Beat Buddy Mini.  I thought it was excellent but I ended up using it mainly as a metronome and I sold it.  I am tempted to buy one of the latest version when it comes out, depending on the price.

    Didn’t look cheap. $400+

I never actually tried the original Beat Buddy, but always wanted one. This, however, looks pretty phenomenal! Interested to see what the UK retail price is for it.

@Beedster has had one for sale on here. I’d been considering it to get a second one for my other board. I love mine.

Hi, I'll screenshot the error message next time I try and log in, but I may not even bother - 6 years of technical issues, might just sell the thing once and for all.

Definitely not incorrect username etc, I made a whole new account as resetting old passwords is impossible (reset link just takes you to the homepage.. :( )....

I’ll email and ask. Occasionally there’s a server error that slips through. Usually quick to fix.

    Try the solutions I gave.

Is the improved tracking on v4 going to filter down to v3?

No. V3 code space is exhausted.

V3 enjoyed about 9 years of continuous improvement (at no extra cost to users). V4 will likely get a similar treatment; there are already further improvements and feature additions in the pipeline.

Out of curiosity, what makes you feel like Origin can achieve that feel when they will also not be tube driven?

    Si

There’s some kind of reactive circuitry in the Origin stuff where they’ve deliberately built it to replicate the feel. It’s certainly not the same as my tube pedals, but certainly less rigid feeling compared to other solid state preamps I have and have had. Obviously not comparing apples to apples either as I don’t have the tube equivalents of what the two BassRigs are emulating. Have had the Grand Slampegg and Fliptop though. (I’ve also had tube pedals which didn’t give much tube compression.)

Anybody know if the global directory via the manager down? I can log in at the auraplug fidatabase2 but can't log in via the manager.

What’s the error message you get? Have you been able to use it previously?

Two things I can think of:

    1. when it asks for username, it might actually be email address it needs (can’t remember off the top of my head);

    2. if you’ve entered your password incorrectly, I think it doesn’t let you easily overwrite it. You need to go into the config or settings text file in the app data folder and delete the file or enter the correct password there:

    Windows:
    "c:lUserslusernamelAppDatalLocall"

    Mac:

    "/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/".
