1. Sorry for the late reply. That's a bit lower than what I was hoping for, but say £110? and it's yours to come collect when you want.
2. Ok, so can't seem to upload a picture for some reason, but I can email some for anyone who's interested. I'm happy to sell for £150, looking for a quick sale Great price for a great cab
3. Looking to sell my Ashdown Mag 410T Deep Cab or trade for a 210T. My 410T was great when it never left the house, but I'm now having to drive it up the road every week and would like something a bit smaller and easier to handle. I bought the 410T about 2-3 years ago secondhand, never had a problem with it. It's in pretty good condition with the usual scuff from just general use, there's a small bit of denting on the front grill, but could probably be taken off and straighten out. It's 450W RMS and 8 Ohm impedance. Message me if you want more info or pics*. Link to the cab spec below: http://www.ashdownmu...ction=mag&ID=24 Looking for around [s]£160[/s] £150 or would consider a trade for an Ashdown 210T. Pick up preferable due to size, I'm located in Guildford, Surrey, but can also do Chelmsford, Essex on some weekends. Get in Touch [s]*(Picture upload keeps failing, but I will try again later)[/s] Managed to get this photo up!
4. Would love to see some pics if you've got them Thanks
5. Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys could tell me some of you're best tips for solving the problem crackling and connection loss from a bad input socket. I would rather not replace the socket as this requires soldering which I'm very poor at, also I'd probably eventually have the same problem with the new socket. Any ideas? Thanks PhoenixBass1
6. Thanks for your help guys. I took my head to the Ashdown repair centre yesterday, which happened to be just up the road from me. It turned out it was a grounding problem and is all working fine now
7.
is it a detachable mains lead? it could be a bad earth connection so if it's detachable try a different lead, or if not open the mains plug and check all the leads are connected and screwed up tight.
Thanks but i've already tried it and the noise was still there, I also tried different mains plugs so i'm fairly sure it's not that
8.
I'm guessing from your sig the head in question is a MAG 300R? So it won't be a valve then, as this head is all solid state. I can help you narrow it down further and say, if it's just a constant buzzing, it's not the speaker either. It sounds to me like there a broken ground somewhere. Does the amp make these noises even when there is no bass attached? Does turning up and down the preamp level affect the buzzing, and if not does turning the master volume up and down change it at all?
Yeh it is the MAG 300R. And ok thanks, so that means it's the amp head. The noises are there when there's no bass attached. The preamp varies the buzzing a little and the master volume significantly increases the buzzing when turned up. Any help? Should i contact Ashdown then? Thanks for your help
9. Hi everyone, I have a ashdown bass stack, that this morning (when I was due to record) decided to start making a lot of buzzing and feedback noises. I fiddled around for quite a while trying to figure out what the problem is. I think i've gotten it down to being either the head or the speaker but would really appreciate some help if anyone else has had a similar problem. More info To narrow it down i've moved far and close to the stack and there has been no change. I've tried a load of different input cables and still the same. Unfortunately I can't test the head separately as I don't have another cab, so it's probably one of these or the cable between them which I also don't have a spare for. Any help would be really nice. Cheers in advance, Phoniex
10. I know I may be a little bit late but I would strongly suggest a barrel designed jack socket, such as this one. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Guitar-Bass-Chrome-C...=item51927a9a10 It's much better than the standard design and you'll never have to worry about any slipping. Worked brilliantly on my bass.
11. Last bump before ebay, im up for negotiation if anyone is interested
12. Hi everyone, I'm selling my 5 String Johnson by AXL due to the fact I'd don't play it enough. It's in very good condition with only a couple a tiny marks from the previous owner which i've tried to show in the pictures. Unfortunately when is was sold to me it was missing a knob so I quickly ordered a replacement one, although I got a metal one instead of a plastic one which was a mistake but this can only be noticed from feeling and there is no noticeable difference when just looking at the bass. Also the knob doesn't actually fit the pot so I used blue-tac to hold it in place but again a new know would easily solve the problem. When attempting to fix this pot I also noticed the others to be slightly loose so they could probably use some attention and maybe glue. To conclude that the bass sounds brilliant and works perfectly, it's only a small issue that doesn't really affect anything but is easily solved. I'm open to offers from anyone interested but I'm looking for around 110. Also I would prefer local pick up as I wouldn't really trust courier, but that's entirely the buyers choice. Thanks
13. Thanks guys, interparcel are by far the cheapest!
14. Hey, I know a lot of people send cabs and stuff using a courier and usually charge like £20 on the sale section of this forum. I was wondering what courier service you guys use because i just got a quote for £79 from DHL -.- Thanks, PhoenixBass1
15. Hey, do you have any pics? Thanks
16. I'm looking at three of these as well and would be interested to hear what people have to say about them . I played the Hartke at a local music store yesterday and much preferred it over the other HartkeLH500 because of its lovely warm tone. Unfortunatly its a considerable amount more than the Laney which has caught my eye, although locally no one seems to stock it
17. Hey, I'm currently looking for a good rig, would it be possible for you to post some pics? thanks
18.
the reason i mentioned that head is cuz its on special offer where i work, didnt realise what the RRP was lol! get something secondhand, its the best way
Oh kl what's the price where you work? and yeh seems like a good idea
19.
Whereabouts are you Pheonix? I'm currently selling an eminently giggable Laney/Marshall half-stack, which I'm willing to let go for comparative peanuts as 1/ I need it out of the living room, and 2/ I've damaged the sodding tolex on the Marshall cab a bit so now can't sell it as 'excellent condition' (which it previously was) even though I can easily patch it up
Thanks for the offer but I'm afraid I'm in Essex so I can't really come get it. Although I have been looking second hand and I've found a 'Ashdown ABM EvoII 900watt bass head' locally, you guys got any opinions on it? Thanks
20.
hi there my first stack was a laney r4, which was the fore runner to the rb9 one worth considering is the ashton all valve head, its 300w valve and is fairly cheap.. whats your budget ?
Is that the BTA 300 hybrid you're talking about? Because that's way out of my price range lol. Budget wise I don't think I'd buy a head for more than £300ish, the main reason being I'm only 17 and money doesn't come easily To be honest I don't think a valve amp would interest me mainly because although the tone is amazing, I don't think it's worth the hundreds of pounds more, especially when i'm fighting to be heard over the guitarist.
