1. Lots of interest but no takers yet, bump.
2.
I used to have #0221, and I loved it! What's the weight?
And measured - just under 4 kg (or 8.8 lbs) - my mistake, but still not heavy. Width at nut - 42 mm. Also please, have in mind, that the neck is a bit of a vintage C shape - deep and thick, which may not suit all. Regards Tsvetan
3. It is definitely on the lighter side - around the 8 lbs mark, but unfortunately I don't have scales, I will get one later today or tomorrow and will measure the exact weight. Regards Tsvetan
4. Having a bit of a clearance and two Duck Dunns seem more than necessary, so I am selling one of them. I originally imported this one from Japan, so it’s the Japanese market version. The interesting thing is that it’s one of the last ones from the production line – serial # 253 – so far I have not seen a later serial. Everything on the bass is completely original. It has some wear – few dings on the lower side of the body, few bumps on its upper side and a black mark on upper side of the headstock (I have tried to show everything in the photos). Other than that the electronics, truss rod, hardware and everything else works perfectly. The bass plays sweet with a nice action, no dead spots, currently strung with roundwounds, with minimal to none fret wear. Sometime ago I tried to make a review of the two Dunns, but it turned out sloppy (please excuse my playing and the video and sound quality), but You can get the idea (the one for sale is the second one in the video) : https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be More hi-res photos of the bass can be found here: https://plus.google....=CK6UrvntsaGZSw The bass did cost me 780 Pounds to purchase and import from Japan, so I am after £ 760 including shipping to UK and most of the EU (if You are outside UK, please ask me and I will calculate the differences in shipping and give You a precise end price). I know it is not cheap, but provided its scarcity and quality, if it does not sell for that price I’m keeping it. It will be shipped in the original gig bag it was sold in when new packed in cardboard and bubble wrap. I will ship from Bulgaria so there will be no import taxes for EU buyers. I suppose that PayPal is best as payment method, although it sets me back around £40 with all the transfer and withdraw fees. I have positive feedback which can be found here : http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2610067 Feel free to ask me any additional questions or demand additional photos. Delivery usually takes a week to the UK and most of EU. Trade wise I would be interested only in goldtop Epiphone Jack Casady, Fullerton RI precisions (‘57 or ‘62),or other rosewood board vintage or vinatege reissue precisions – either a straight swap or with cash both ends.

10. Some interest but no takers yet. Bump
11.
This is awesome! Is it wired as a full time humbucker?
Yes, it is. I have thought of a switch, but didn't get around to do it.
12. Price drop - £ 400 including shipping to UK and most of the EU countries
13. it is originally situated like this in the T-40s. I haven.t flipped it since the access to the micro tilt adjustment is supposed to be from the back side and through the neckplate. The new body is also routed for access to the micro tile system. Cheers
14. SOLD Having a bit of a clear out and decided to part with my customized Peavey. The original build thread can be found here: http://basschat.co.u...33#entry2488933 As stated in the build thread it was built using a 1978 Peavey T-40 for a donor bass, with a custom build basswood '51 fender-like body with an arm contour. As you can see from the pictures, the paint job is not perfect. After the last fret the edge of the neck (fretboard) has been sanded off – this is how I got it, it was not even lacquered so my bass tech has applied same color lacquer and now it looks nice. The neck is in really nice shape – extremely small dings and a few scuffs. As You can see from the photos it is a bit harder to show the exact color since it tends to be different in different light, but I hope You get the general idea. Currently strung with Fender Flatwounds. I am selling it with all the other original bits and pieces pictured (except the original body). The other pickup works fine, as I remember all the pots were OK, I believe only the switches were troublesome – perhaps one of them. So it can be restored with a T40 body if anyone is up to that. More hi-res photos of the bass can be found here: https://plus.google....COyq_rTg_-zc4QE The bass alone costed me 400 plus, so I believe that SOLD is a fair price. I will ship from Bulgaria so there will be no import taxes for EU buyers. For other EU countries – please, inquire for price due to huge differences in shipping rates. I want to tell You in advance that due to my working schedule it is possible that I would not be able to ship it immediately, but if we negotiate a deal I can put it on hold and after I know when I can ship it, payment can be made the same day that I ship.
15. It’s a 1983 JV series Telecaster, model TL 52-95. You all know how good they are. Correct ’52 wiring, cloth wires, brass saddles, dome knobs, bakelite guard, etc. It’s a natural roadworn, with a few chips and some scuffs, the nitro lacquer has aged nicely. The frets have been recently polished by my guitar tech. I believe everything on the guitar is original down to every last screw. All the electronics and hardware works properly. The hardware has some ageing to it – oxidation, rust, etc. – it can all be seen in the detailed photos in the following link : https://plus.google....CPjYt9q3xeaM9gE I believe that SOLD including shipping to UK and a hardcase is a fair price. 16. Update on the shiiping cost to the UK.
17.
it looks good in some basses, but I cannot stand the way if feels... shudder. I just got a Classic 50 Precision, and I think I'm going to have to change the pickguard. It gives me the same feeling as scratching a blackboard with my nails...
I know what You mean. For the same reason I shot the guard of my custom 57 with a clear coat (can be seen above). Not the best solution, but still an option if You want to keep the looks.
18. Hi, it would be packed well before shipping, if You prefer I can separate the neck from body. If I can source locally a small case that it will fit in I will get one for the shipping with no additional charge. I am not sure about the weight, but it's definitely light - will measure it as soon as possible. I am based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Cheers
19. THE BASS IS SOLD Decided to sell my Musicmaster because I can't get used to the short scale. The lacquer is original – wine trans red over ash body. It is more reddish (dark red) in person than in the photos. The serial number suggests its made in 1978, but since S78 number are used as late as 1981, I cannot be 100% sure and would appreciate an expert opinion based on the photos. Other than that the bass is fitted with Seymour Duncan Basslines Quarterpounder which is screwed directly to the body – not hanging from the pickguard. The pickguard is a custom made white pearloid guard – small holes have been prepared for adjusting the pickup height or in case it should be hooked to the pickguard rather than the body wood. Some previous owner has made some modifications - moved the pickup towards the neck and drilled the body, but has since filled the cavity and sprayed over with similar colour (its all under the pickguard and can be seen in the additional photos in the link bellow). Otherwise the original lacquer on the body and the neck is in pretty nice shape – usual checking and some small dings shown in the photos. Other than the above the pickguard screws and two of the bridge screws seem not to be original. Apart from that the bass plays just sweet – I have used it at a couple of gigs and it sure fits in the mix much like a precision. Frets have been professionally dressed and have plenty of life in them, the bass is currently set up with Fender shortscale roundwounds which are a bit loose – if its fit with regular scale strings the strings are tighter and the action can be set to extremely low. The truss rod works fine, the tuners operate smoothly, the pots are fine. Although the pickup is not designed for this string spacing I cannot hear different output level from the inner and outer strings – the sound even. If someone would prefer a sound sample, I suppose I can record something next week and post it. More hi-res photos of the bass can be found here: https://plus.google....CL73xNeUgdytwgE Since the bass is not in original condition, but still a sweet player. I will ship from Bulgaria so there will be no import taxes for EU buyers. I suppose that PayPal is best as payment method.
