1. A good starter book is "Complete Guide to Guitar and AMP Maintenance" which covers the basics of biasing, fault finding and minor repairs (also covers the basics of guitar maintenance as well) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/books/dp/0793534909/ Andy
2. Bought some telecaster saddles from Den. Great guy to deal with. Andy 8)
3. I got these with a guitar I bought recently but don't have any use for them. Fender Urban Tweed gig bag to fit strat/tele. Used once (guitar was in case in box to post guitar to me) so As-new condition. Tweed outer with red velvet lining. £20 + post. (details on the bag can be found here : http://intl.fender.c...-gig-bag-tweed/ ) Fender red strap with Fender straplocks fitted. I will include the strap buttons to suit as well. £10 + post. Thanks Andy 8)
4.
Telecaster Custom - rosewood fretboard and double bound body in either white, Candy Apple Red or Sunburst Andy
A bit of ebay-ing tonight has hopefully cured my gas! Fender Japan TL62B Telecaster Custom in Candy Apple Red Andy

6. Sold Rob my Strat, excellent guy to deal with. Andy
7. Wife has said I have too many guitars so a couple have to go. 1991-ish (S1 serial) Squier Stratocaster, Made in Korea. Aged white finish, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard. After nearly 25 years, the colour has yellowed quite a lot and there are some cosmetic issues - a large ding on the forearm contour, marks from stickers being removed and a piece of rosewood missing behind the nut from a nut replacement. Everything else seems to be stock. Looking for £50 collected from Edinburgh, postage might be possible if I can find a suitable box. No case or strap included. Andy
8. A bit of searching answered my own question, the synapse case has a shaped interior to fit the synapse body and the XT doesn't fit : http://www.guitarsend.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=7489975 So that counts that one out! Andy
9.
B2AV - neck width about 2mm less on both measurements, overall length including strap pins seems to be 98.5cm (haven't got a tape so I've just been using a 30cm ruler).

And if you look here http://www.steinberger.com/XT25.html you can find the specs on the XT25 and (if you go from the navigation sidebar) Synapse - a little less detailed than your measurements. The Synapse is an inch longer than the XT25, accounted for by the headpiece which can presumably clamp single-ball-end strings.
Thanks for that. 2mm neck width difference between the xt25 and B2AV should be manageable and length wise it looks like the B2AV case would fit ok. From the basic specs on the steinberger site it looks like the XT , XT25 and synapse necks are pretty much the same but no body width is given. It's not obvious what the difference between the synapse and the XT case is though. Cheers Andy
10.
You could maybe get one made ?
I'd looked at getting one made but it's a lot cheaper to get a ready made case if one exists so I thought I'd try that route first. Andy
11.
I've got both the XT and Synapse cases, I could measure them tomorrow if that helps
That might be helpful, would tell me the size difference between the two cases. I suppose a better question for me to ask is are the Steinberger XT, XT25 and Hohner B2AV the same dimensions? Running a quick tape over the XT25 : Width at tuners : 21cm Width at neck joint : 14.5cm Neck width at "head" : 4.5cm Neck width at body : 6.7cm Overall length : 97cm Maximum depth (at back strap button) - 7cm Thanks Andy
12.
As the first one seems to be for a Steinberger XT bass I'm sure it will fit a Steinberger XT bass. A Hohner B2A five is the same bass so I'm sure that would fit too.
Thanks, that's what I thought but I wasn't sure if the 5-string neck/body were wider than the 4-string XT. Andy
13. Hi Folks, I bought a Steinberger XT25 5-string and it came with an gig bag but I'm not sure I'd trust it with the rest of the gear in the van. Searching around on the web hasn't found much but thomann have the cases below. Does anyone know if any of these cases will fit the XT25? Steinberger XT case : http://www.thomann.de/gb/steinberger_guitars_st_a0188_bl_xt_xl_bass_case.htm Steinberger Synapse case : http://www.thomann.de/gb/steinberger_guitars_synapse_case.htm Hohner B2AV Case : http://www.thomann.de/gb/thon_case_fuer_hohner_b2av_bass.htm Thanks Andy
14. Morley Pro Series Wah (PWA) for guitar, Made in USA. Used but good condition, a few dings and scrapes from use. £25 (or nearest offer) plus post at cost Andy
15. Zoom 707 II Guitar MultiFX. Generally good condition although the battery cover is missing. No power supply (shown powered up using a Power Supply from another pedal). £25 +post at cost or nearest offer. Andy
16. Since a Yamaha NX S70 is a loudspeaker and both the Yamaha logo and model number appear to be stickers on the headstock, I'd say it's a Dearmond bass like this one : http://www.bass-guit...tar-bass-guitar with the stickers from the speakers stuck over the Dearmond logo. Why? Anyones guess! Andy
17. I received this with a pod I bought recently and I don't see me using it. Black powder coated mounting plate, 4 rubber "feet" and a microphone stand adaptor. There are a few small scratches on the underside of the plate (probably because it was posted with the mic adaptor loose in the box with the plate) Boxed £10 plus postage at cost. Andy
