@dodge_bassMy Tuner > Comp > Preamp/DI is on a PT Nano and the others on a separate PT Nano+, so that I can keep things more flexible (and I don’t always need to take the ‘effects’ part). It might be a good shout to include a Bright Onions FX Loop on the DI board as a way to create a loop out to the additional board when needed, thanks for the inspiration!

@dodge_bass Wasn’t very clear but the DI is the only one not fixed in position. It changes depending on what I’m doing (as FOH I usually push everything in to a separate isolated DI at the end that splits to FOH and Amp). Envelope filter isn’t a bad shout. Torn between that and a nice reverb!

I worked in music retail for a long time and played countless Squiers. Always had a soft spot for the classic vibes and I’m need of a budget bass, so went for the FSR CV ‘50s P in 2TSB. Should do the trick and it looks nice! 🤣

Literally had a guy, say “you’re open to sensible offers? Will you accept 50% of the list price AND ship it for me at your expense?” - I tried explaining that it wasn’t really ‘sensible’ and he said “negotiation is part of selling”. Apparently compromise isn’t 🤣

@Rich, I pulled the trigger on some basic DIY effects parts today... if I’m truthful, I’m scared where the rabbit hole could lead!

@DiMarco - it’s not about a £100 fuzz being better than £100 compressor. I just would like to know any ‘top tips’ of cool pedals for bass that don’t exceed that limit 🙂

As with all these things, I don’t NEED anything, just happy to chop and change and find a few gems along the way (with people’s help!)

Any effect! If you want help narrowing down, then either fuzz, overdrive or compressor!

I must admit i've been very close. The only thing keeping on there is the marketplace, but I'm hoping it'll move to an isolated application (like messenger did) then i can get rid of the other bit

For an effects pedal actually, but thanks for the offer! I was sure somewhere on a Sire thread one of the mods (Ped?) shared a link to a site that was full of options and I’m trying to find something quite specific so thought it might be a good place to start!

P7 5 String in black - After much reading on the forum (thanks lockdown!) and the 0% interest 10-month finance option (and the discounted price!) it was too tempting.
