    Ah, I see, Mr Zed! Agreed! Played first gig using the new neck. Amazing! It's a keeper.

    No worries, NGH! Difference between AmStd and AmSp: No through-body stringing. Satin finished neck with cheaper tuners, although it is the same graphite supported neck. Cheaper pickups. The neck profile is also slightly flatter front to back. No fancy case.

    Wowsers! As someone also having had more than my fair share of spime problems, and now trying to regain the full use of my left eye after bungled surgery, I can truly empathise with the poor guy. Hope he actually didn't have both cataracts done at once - what you describe is the very reason they shound never do both together.

    The PJ started life as a Squier Affinity! The only Squier bits left are the Body and pickguard.

    Well, today I chopped in the Pawn Shop Mustang against a used American Special Jazz Bass. Now, I'm no Jazz man, but the neck was just...wonderful. So now it adorns my favourite P-Bass, and the black-blocks-and-binding J neck from that goes on the P-J. So now I have two near-perfect (for me) Precisions, and one American Special Jazz with a Mexican Precision neck! Pics to follow soon!
