Man, that's some plank Scofield's playing! I used to love this stuff, but no matter how hard I try it doesn't do it for me anymore. Playing is spot on and thanks Bubinbga5 for posting but I just can't work out 30 years on, why I loved this stuff so much and now it leaves me cold. Oh well, yet another problem that comes with age :)
Seen Billy last year, along with Hadrien Feraud..

Wasn't gobsmacked by Billie's stuff, but, Hadrien.. He was a few steps higher, than other musos on the stage..
to be honest im really not keen on Hadrian Feraud...the stuff ive seen is of his is noodle city...especially the Gospelchops DVD...what he was doing on there i will never know..maybe i havent seen the best of him

More fantastic posts.

I first heard Billy Cobham on the Mahavishnu's 'Birds Of Fire' album, which I played to death as a youngster.

This is the track for me:

Probably the greatest drummer ever.

Well, I don't dig Hadrien's stuff either, but, on that gig, he was doin' his thing ok, and, during the last tune, he came up with a 'flurry' solo, which was simply sick.. I haven't heard any better than that from him anymore so far..
