David Nimrod Posted November 30, 2007 Share Posted November 30, 2007 I have a push/pull volume pot where the pot shaft is basically 180 degrees in section. In other words it's a D shape, rather than a splined or normal solid shaft. When I took the volume knob off (attached with a grub screw) a few bits of black plastic fell out. I guess this was the adapter sleeve that converted the 180 degree shaft to 360 degrees. With me so far? My question is:- can I get that bit of plastic or do I have to get a complete new pot? Needless to say no one from the Ibanez Importer (Headstock Distribution) to Maplins have been able to help... Jon.[/quote] I did that, but with cut up bits of cable tie (instead of matchstick) and insulating tape , but the knob still wobbles... Ou7shined Posted December 6, 2007 Share Posted December 6, 2007 As a cheapskate bodger with reasonable skills, I'd probably glue on a bit of oversized, carve-able plastic or wood then cunningly fashion it into the required 360 deg shaft with a sharp blade.
