Raised pole pieces on P/up

Erm, I think your pickups are in backwards. It's usually the A that has the raised pole piece...

I think you may be right,
would a picture help to confirm ??

It's just the two pieces that are proud,the other six are flush with the cover,thanks tho' :)

+1 on swapping the halves over, the raised poles should be under the A string. See this Seymour Duncan pickup for reference:
