True not a direct comparision but neither is the Ampeg as that's only meant to be 300w.

I'm just thinking if we go off the old 3db rule then I doubt there is much you can do with 8 KT88's that you can't do with 4 but I'd like to be proven wrong.

I had a Trace V6 and the GT200 was louder than it.

But will be interesting to see when these are actually out.

I suspect very few shops will be carrying 2k all tube bass amps for us to try.

cant see my local Pre Menstral Tension store getting any of the heads in to try.they could not even be bothered to get me a cab!their loss got one £200 cheaper.

i have also been told the LB will be as loud as the abm 500. i like the look of the bta400 and the 427 block myself. im looking forward to trying them out- see what they are like compared to my evoiii head.
