Well i bought a georgeous redburst 4 string funkmister from Wes on here about 3 months ago, and i have to say that this bass really is a super jazz! The slap sound is incredible, and the finger style playing leaves the others in the shade! I have to say that the controls are pretty sensitive, and there are masses of gain in the tone from the 18v emg pre amp. Although masses of gain, it is also very musical, but i find a slight boost in bass and treble gives the bass all the punch i need. I guess as this is a one off hand made job, you cant just go to the shop and try it. I have had spectors, lakelands, fender sadowsky warick etc, but the tone and playability and build quality in my opinion is better that the said basses, in some cases my many times. I have to say, im very happy with this bass, although its a 4 string, (i prefer 5's) its worth every penny!.

Who knows A? but for the moment, yes it is. Can't really say i want anything more form a bass, other than perhaps another string, but i can make the sacrafice for this bass.
