Vintage V1004DX bass £100 Swindon, Wilts

Selling my Vintage (brand) V1004DX bass, I've had it for a fair few years now (probably 10 or more!), originally bought as a backup but I actually used it for a few gigs and really enjoyed playing it.  It's currently strung with TI flats, and in great condition.  It's kept in a smoke-free home, but doesn't have a gig-bag or anything, hence the reasonable asking price.  Collection only from near Swindon, in Wiltshire.

Maybe tooo much as they can be weighty - Son has a Vintage Bubing Fretless.

I reviewed one of these in 2007 for Basschat (see here), as well as bought one a couple of years ago.

 

Superbly overspecced, you should be asking twice this price at least.

Oh man, I've been looking out for one of these for a couple of years now. No chance of getting down south for it though. Great looking bass!

I have the fretless version. Bought it a few years ago. Absolutely love it. My favourite out of the five fretless basses I own. Such a pity Vintage never did a 5 string version.

I have one of these as a 5 string (but with the Brown maple quilt..soon to be remove/refinished) it's had a few mods (new bridge/preamp) and it's a fantastic bass,

I never knew Vintage made a 5 string V1004. Was it known as a V1005 to reflect this ?🤔

But Mine is the same maple/bown stain as this one (posted on talkbass)
