I was perusing the Join My Band ads for my area when I came across this gem: https://www.joinmyband.co.uk/classifieds/performers-needed-t1547705.html

Reading between the lines (and perusing this person’s other posts), this is a singer and instrumentalist who has written and recorded a set of material and now wants people to perform it to their exact requirements, even down to using the person’s own equipment. Prospective performers are invited to be interviewed (not auditioned) and advised that the choreography may be a challenge, and that they will sign up as employees of a limited company, of which Companies House hold no record.

The whole thing is a massive red flag!

I’ll let you know how my interview goes…

Google AI implies Reclusiarch Records is just a single person who does electronic mixes (ie, "band" is a heck of a stretch):

"Reclusiarch Records appears to be primarily associated with Reclusiarch Aurelius, a user on SoundCloud, a platform for sharing electronic music, particularly mixes and tracks with a retro or trance/techno vibe, referencing iconic mixes like Global Underground 006 and Global Underground 010. While not a formal record label, the name evokes the Reclusiarch (Chaplain) figure from Warhammer 40,000, suggesting a thematic link to solitude, lore, and perhaps dark, immersive electronic sounds.

Key Aspects:

SoundCloud Presence: Reclusiarch Aurelius is the main entity, known for uploading mixes and remixes.

Genre/Style: The content leans towards electronic, trance, and techno, with specific references to classic mixes.

Thematic Naming: "Reclusiarch" draws from the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40k, implying deep, perhaps solitary or intense musical exploration.

In essence, think of it as a personal music curation identity rather than a commercial label, focused on deep cuts and nostalgic electronic sounds."
