I want to upgrade the weedy pickups in a 90's Peavey International with something with a bit more punch but want to keep costs down so thinking of the cheap Wilkinsons. Are they likely to be worth trying?

Have a look at Warman pickups too. Great pickups for about £25

I'm pretty sure the pickups in your Peavey "Dyna-Bass International Series", it's Sunday might as well use it's full name, are the same as in the C-Series/Zephyr.

I never found replacements with the correct dimensions, hopefully time has solved that wee issue 👍

They're actually not but this reminds me that it does have a pair of pickups from my old Zephyr. They are standard size but the 4 string International has 5 string pickups

As do Zephyrs and Grinds.

If you can hold off ordering anything for 24 hours, I've a box of empty pickup shells in the hut; good chance I've zephyr shells.

Plenty pickups can be hidden below an empty shell.
