bigmuff69 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago So,there’s a bass on eBay I want to buy, only problem is the sellers in London,I’m in Manchester,he won’t post it,I’ve asked if he could just pack it up and I can send parcelforce to collect it on my behalf,he didn’t want to do that either, without doing a 8 hour round trip does anybody know any other way of getting it up to Manchester?, Quote
skilamalink Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Check out Lenspeed Logistics. Search BC for various mentions. I used them to ship a jazz bass from an eBay seller who listed it as collection only. I asked them to check out their website and pay specific attention to the insurance amounts that their items are covered by. This was enough to convince them to allow it. There is no need to wrap or box it. It was collected from the seller's flat, went into the van in a Fender gig bag and arrived with me with no issues or damage. I would use them again in a heartbeat. My thinking was that my seller's aversion to shipping was the hassle of wrapping it and the risk of damage. It was very sentimental to them and had been their main gigging bass for a number of years. It’s not my place to go into details, but a friend of mine had a poor experience with Lenspeed. Quote
