JazzyJ Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Well, always wanted to have a go on. Road trip to Doncaster yesterday and returned with this example. A very decent price and it sounds immense. Not everybody's cup of tea but hey ho. 18 Quote
HeadlessBassist Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Congratulations JazzyJ! Looks lovely, particularly the 'Pewter' like finish. Being a HH, it should be mighty too. Enjoy! 1 Quote
Misdee Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Not everybody's cup of tea, but definitely my cup of tea. I love a Bongo. That finish looks like Egyptian Smoke, if I'm not mistaken. The colour scheme on these earlier Bongos was inspired by the available colours for BMW cars at that time in the early-mid 2000's. Makes sense in light of the BMW connection. Anyhow, lovely bass, I hope you have a lot of fun playing it. 1 Quote

I'll be keeping them on for the time being. Quote
HeadlessBassist Posted October 22 Posted October 22 That's an interesting choice of string for a Bongo. Quote
Misdee Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Funnily enough, I've thought about putting flats on my Bongo, if I ever get round to it. I think it could work pretty well! Quote

Musicman20 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Love the Bongo. The flats apparently sound really good with that pre-amp (never personally tried it) but the clarity with rounds and grind is addictive on these! Quote
johnDeereJack Posted 18 minutes ago Posted 18 minutes ago I love MM Bongo's. I have a sparkly orange H/S 5-string. Really wish they still did the single-H 4-string versions. I've been looking for one of those for god knows how long! 1 Quote
