AlexDelores Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I’ve currently got Schaller S Locks in my bass but would like to go back to standard pins and rubber strap locks. the S locks screws are slightly bigger to my eye than the standard screws. Would this cause any issues? Or, can anyone reccomend a get around? Matchstick shavings in the hole? Any suggestions appreciated Thanks Alex Quote

Any suggestions appreciated Thanks Alex To make the hole smaller, or to grab the screw, a bit of a wood toothpick and some woodglue. Don't even bother letting it dry/set. Little bit of glue, pop the toothpick in, screw her home. 1 Quote
Skybone Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Yep, toothpick / cocktail stick / matchstick in the hole. Don't necessarily need to use glue, just the tension of new wood will hold it, though some PVA would give you a bit more security. 1 Quote
PaulThePlug Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Tooth pick can be a bit hard... i favour glue and matchstick. 1 Quote
