Nice build quality, great sound, but the matte finish on the neck is not for me. I’ve been very close to buying the 8lber a few times this week from Peach, and this was the one big thing that puts me off (not gonna open a can of worms about why!). You’ve saved me £1400, so thanks 😂 Quote
krispn Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I saw on a YT review of the guitars that the finish on the neck can very quickly ‘rub off’ so the tacky feel is very much a temporary thing. Quote
dmz Posted Wednesday at 21:46 Posted Wednesday at 21:46 Don’t forget the price includes a tasty Fender hard shell case - must be worth at least £200 or so - he said trying to talk himself into a Fiesta Red one 😈😬 Quote

Nowadays they use Chinese-made copies, which are noticeably less in quality… even for their flagship line, the American Vintage. still, better dan the new American Standard Classic of ~1600£, which comes with a gigbag. And what a disappointing gigbag at that! Fender can do better. I generally prefer gigbags over hardcases for portability and because they're easier to store, but having been spoiled by Mono I would be seriously disappointed to receive the one the Am Pro II Classics ship in.
