Is it any good?

I am kinda tempted just because of the Agro pedal in plugin form.

I like it a lot. Previously was using a Helix, though the Noble preamp replica most often when recording as I struggled with the amp options. I also sometimes used Logic amps, often with the Helix Noble, but again I wasn’t that fussed with them either.

This plugin works for me as I like the tone of the AG amps, but also find the others useful. And the cabs work well for me too.

I was debating the spend, but the ease of use and instant ‘better than what I have’ made it a quick no brainer for me.  I expect other people’s opinions may vary.

My go-to is the Softube Bass Amp Room suite. It is limited to an SVT clone, a retro solid state thing (which isn't great) and some kind of overdrive amp (which again isn't great). Only the SVT is actually useable but it is seriously good because it is easy to use and understand. The downside is that there is no dedicated bass amp overdrive which I think would be solved with a plugin version of the Agro pedal which I owned for about a decade.

I tried some Brainworx/Plugin Alliance, Bias FX and Amplitube sims but never really go on with them. I like the idea of the Helix but I think it would just present me with too many options.

I really like Aguilar kit, so this is tempting.

Although I regularly use Helix for headphone practice, I found the bass amps/cabs to be more quality over quantity when i started recording with them.

Just downloaded the demo version of this. It limits you to 20 minutes per use before cutting out with a purchase prompt - however you can just close and restart it again to reset the timer and keep playing around.

You can't save presets with the demo version but other than that you can use all the features (in standalone mode) to your heart's content! I've just killed about an hour and a half tweaking all the amps, cabs and effects and can confirm it sounds pretty glorious. The pedals also sound legit - I've got an OG Octamizer and they've modelled it flawlessly. Tbh it's actually confirmed that the original analog Octamizer sounds better than the new digital Octamizer DLX. Cured that bit of G.A.S nicely 😅

I'm now very seriously considering paying for the full version, as for me this blows the Neural DSP Darkglass plugins out of the water. Also much better than the Mixwave Ashdown ABM Evo plugin I bought a year or so ago. Aguilar have nailed it.
