laurawoods Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Hi everyone, I’m Laura, new here and still finding my way around the bass. I started playing a few months ago on a [model of your bass, e.g., Yamaha TRBX174], mainly practicing at home and trying to build solid fundamentals. At the moment, I’m a bit unsure about how to structure my practice time. Sometimes I end up just running through random exercises or playing along with songs I like, but I feel I’m not improving as efficiently as I could. So I’d love to hear from you: How do you structure your daily or weekly practice routines? Do you focus more on scales, technique, or full songs when starting out? Are there any “must-learn” exercises or tips that really helped you in the early stages? I really appreciate any advice or stories you’re willing to share. Excited to be part of this community and learn from experienced players here! Thanks, Laura Woods Granny Game 1 Quote
