HoorayForAnonyms Posted yesterday at 00:31 Posted yesterday at 00:31 I think the Behringer clones have been a little hit and miss lately but hopefully this one gets close to the original MF-101. 1 Quote
pantherairsoft Posted yesterday at 06:24 Posted yesterday at 06:24 Seems that tonally the phaser was a very accurate reproduction, and as others have already done a pretty solid job of replicating the tone in the 101, I think this one likely will be just as good. Interested to hear user feedback, as I’m sure there are more than a couple of basschatters that will pick this up! Quote
Beer of the Bass Posted yesterday at 08:38 Posted yesterday at 08:38 I always thought it strange that the Moog original didn't include a downward/reverse option on the envelope follower, and the Behringer looks like it repeats that. What's the point if you can't get that "bowwwp!" sound? I don't think I ever use my envelope filter in the normal upwards setting, the quack irritates me quickly. This might just be my personal weird preoccupation... Quote

PastFX do an excellent 101 clone in a normal-sized enclosure with solid build quality so I’m not as interested in this particular Behringer version, though I’m sure it’ll be good. 1 Quote

Smaller and with master volume only one exp/cv in Jack which can be set for one of the 4 of the knobs. behringer gives you midi, expression out and more cv ports - but is the size of a small planet compared to the pastfx! It’s also a chunk cheaper. isn’t there a trick on the mf101 where you can rout the expression out into the cut off cv to make a down filter? Edited 13 hours ago by LukeFRC 2 Quote

There’s no expression output on the pedal. You can take the signal from the “envelope out” port and run it through an inverter and feed it back into the cutoff input jack, which is what you needed the CP-251 control processor for. LukeFRC Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I meant envelope out, but I have no idea about what I'm saying! 1 Quote
