zonular Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Hey u bass players. How long do a set of aquila strings last? I'm debating one of the bamboo u bass from thomann for easy transport. Quote
Chienmortbb Posted August 12 Posted August 12 I don’t know but am interested to read the replies. Quote
zonular Posted August 12 Author Posted August 12 I'm half tempted by the bamboo u bass on thomann. Looking for something to bring to work on public transport then off on a bus to a pub jam Quote
jd56hawk Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I've heard that the rubber ones last for 3 to 6 months. Sounds about right. 1 Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted August 14 Posted August 14 I put a set of kala / galli ubass flatwounds on mine several years ago. These are chrome steel over a nylon core. The nut needed to be recut but I think these strings will last forever. Quote
