warmnotes Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Had the same set of TI jazz caflats on my squier vista musicmaster for 18 years and I feel like a change. It's a string through body and the TI flats are a good fit as they have a winding length of 32". Any recommendations for replacement medium scale strings? Preferably something with a bit more tension than the thomastiks. Interested in flat and round wounds. Thanks Quote
JJMotown Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Any 32inch flats will have more tension than TIs. Generally, the higher the gauge, the higher the tension. Quote
fretmeister Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago La Bella do a specific Mustang string through set. They list the full speaking length of the string on their website so you can check before you buy. Quote
Lozz196 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I use regular scale Elixirs on my Mustangs, fit fine Quote
Bassybert Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Have just fitted a set of LaBella Mustangs on my classic vibe Mustang and they’re perfect. Really nice tension and silky smooth. Quote
