Ben Nigh Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I play in a band and all are Di’d into the Pa. I currently use a tone hammer. I’ve got it into my head that I want to have the Duff Mckagan sound from the 90’s. Other than the pj bass what pre amp/ Di could I use ? And other pedals too. Thanks Quote
Lozz196 Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Gallien Krueger Plex, as Duff used GK amps, and a chorus pedal of some sorts will get you well into Duff territory. Quote

Pow_22 Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I had an early Japanese Yamaha chorus pedal back in the day and it nailed that Duff tone. Simple little three knob effort it was, cheap at the time but as with most Japanese stuff from 80's its probably rocketed in value! Quote
warwickhunt Posted August 5 Posted August 5 I've just bought one of these and I've had the chance to A/B with an actual 800RB amp... no difference! 3 Quote
dave_bass5 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 The TC Electronic Helix Chorus has a Duff Preset IIR, although you could probably use almost any multi knob chorus. 1 Quote
dave_bass5 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) Depending on your budget, you could possibly get a multi FX that can do it all in one go, inc amp sims/cab etc. The Zoom's/Helix stuff have GK sims in them, as well as multiple chours pedals. Edited August 5 by dave_bass5 1 Quote
