fender52000 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Does anyone know if the latest Electra VS4 has the active/passive push pull feature…? Checking UK dealers it appears some have and some haven’t! Even Sandberg website is unclear.. Thanks Quote

Terry M. Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Surprised they would get that wrong on their website. Very misleading if the feature isn't available. Quote

This is the problem, I recently read a post from someone who purchased a VS4 Electra only to find it didn’t have the push/pull switch despite it being advertised. Thanks for your replies though. Guess I’ll have to contact Sandberg direct. 1 Quote
bigthumb Posted July 13 Posted July 13 The newer ones, like my old one are the Electra 2 VS4 without the push/pull Quote

Where I’m confused is that Sandburg’s site states the new ones have push/pull. Or are these an upgrade of the Electra 2.? Anyway I’ve emailed Sandberg so hopefully all will soon become clear🤞. Thanks for all the replies 👍 Quote
Terry M. Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Would be great if you shared what they say as I'm curious 👍 1 Quote

fender52000 Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago Well Sandberg finally replied to my email. The Electra VS4 no longer has the active/ passive feature. I pointed out that their website states it has and got an apologetic reply saying this was an error and they’d correct it. 👍😊 1 Quote

As a professional gear reviewer, I'd say brands are better than they used to be, but there have been times when even the manufacturer has gotten the specifications wrong. It's all too easy to cut and paste information on to a website without checking it these days that many (especially shops, online or physical) don't bother to check or sometimes don't even know what they are selling. A good way to spot lazy (and AI) review writing though ha ha.. That said, we're human, sometimes we make errors and for Sandberg they seem to be far and few between. Quote

They still haven't corrected the error on their website though. Quote

This IS an example of the manufacturer getting it wrong, despite the OP checking with them they still haven't corrected it yet. I've seen something similar on the Squier website earlier this year (listing a bass as volume/volume when the example in my hand was clearly master volume/pan) Mistakes clearly happen but I'm not expecting the makers themselves to make such basic errors I guess.
