Try as I might, I just can't get on with the slab body. 

 

 

This is a new Allparts trans butterscotch telecaster bass body, minor indent marks on back if you have magnifying glasses.

..the thumb rest looks quite cool but is it removable without leaving any marks or holes?? 
 

..and is there something on the neck plate? Looks blurry?

Ha, blur is just the photography, it's a brand new build! The thumbrest is held on with double sided tape. No residue.

Great idea that thumb rest. I sold my Sting precision because I couldn't get on with the rounded edge to the pickup. GLWTS.
