FT/FS: 1994 Yamaha TRB6 Six String trade for Yam BB2000 or BB3000 PLUS DEMO VIDEO (£1500 or thereabouts) £1650

This magnificent TRB6 is on the block as I’m on a one bass only regime and need four strings imminently for my band where my bass and singing duties don't require an Imperial Star Destroyer of a bass like this. 

Ideally this would be a trade for a not-crazy-heavy Yamaha BB2000 or a BB3000.

This is the early version of the TRB6. Having owned a Patitucci TRBJP1, it's of the same high quality build and has the same spec apart from no maple cap on the body and with a huge slab of high quality rosewood with dots instead of ebony/clef inlays. Pretty sure the preamp is identical.

The bass has an ash body, maple neck, rosewood board and, most importantly in my book, a 34" scale. Weight is also great and unusual for a Yamaha six string, coming in around 9.5 lbs (4.3kgs). Having owned a TRBJP1 and a TRB6P, this bass is fundamentally better in my experience as it has an equally formidable sound but doesn't cause spinal compression like the other two I owned. You could pogo with it if you were so inclined

It has a great balance and a wonderful J bass tone with a lot of heft and shapeability with the powerful EQ.

Condition is excellent - I even have the little plastic clip on guide to the preamp. 

In person swapsies preferred. I'm down in the SE but happy to hit the road for a meet up as this is a rare bird of a bass.
 

Here's a video of said bass running through a sweet sweet slice of West Coast cheese of the highest calibre from 1982....a fine year for tunes.
