I know that bass - it was originally owned from new by an adult pupil of mine in the Teweksbury area. It's a stunner of a bass. I had the natural one around the same time. They're a real Swiss army knife of a bass, these Sabres. Amazing Precision sound from the front humbucker too.

Ā

Best of luck with the sale!Ā

I've owned three Classic Sabres - the sunburst and natural went to basschatters and my Sledge with rosewood board went to Bass Bros a couple of days after this one sold and then itself sold within 24 hours.Ā

Ā

These are great basses. I've owned a couple of StingRay Classics as well and there's no comparison imo. The Sabre's versatility wins out every time. I'd also have a Sabre over a StingRay HH as well.

Ā

If I hadn't stopped buying 4 string basses I'd be tempted by this.
