Vox White Shadow - fretless bass (70/80s) £500 Exmouth

Late 70s / early 80s vox white shadow fretless bass - quite rare good quality bass - made in Japan. Perfect working order, no crackles or hisses! Very playable and sounds brilliant.

 

Also included is original, vox, fitted hard case. Currently strung with flat wounds - could probably use a fresh set! View / test / collect from Exmouth.

Looks similar to the Vox standard defretted that I sold recently. Very nice sounding fretless, good luck with the sale!

I posted this 2 years ago and then forgot all about it! 

 

I do still have it.. just found it in the back of the cupboard and dusted it off.. Open to offers and trades of all and any description, it's a shame to have it just sitting in it's case!

If it's like the Vox Standard it will be series/parallel

I think it's a tone / voicing switch, kinda gives it a flat or vintage thump sound depending on position

The first time I ever actually saw a bass in the flesh in 1983 it was one of these (might even have been this one). Slightly early Overwater vibe. Lovely!

I've got one of these, which has some cosmetic issues (someone's stripped it, badly, and  undercoated it in white without bothering to tidy up the scratches first).  But it sounds fabulous

Stripped like this? I  left mine plain. That DiMarzio in that position is great for fretless sound
