1976 Fender Jazz Bass Big Reduction - *SOLD* £2950 N Ireland

One last reduction to £2700     £2550 for a quick sale, may consider a trade, try me

 

For those Basschatters that live in the EU I can get this posted form my brothers address in Eire ( southern Ireland ) and thus avoid having to pay custom and taxes

 

Selling this lovley 1976 Fender Jazz in excellent condition apart from a few little knocks to the bottom and some match head sized chips to the body as per the pics

I have checked and the pots are the righ date, I didnt take the foam off the bottom of the pickups as they were stuck, this is not uncommon

and I have no doubt they are the original, I have come across this before but if the new owner insists I will try to remove them

 

Both pickup covers intact

Very little fret wear

Comes with a Fenderish looking case

Weight is 11lbs

 

I have priced this to sell and given its condition I think its well worth the asking price

From the one picture of the case I'd say it's generic; my '67 Jazz's looks the same as does those of three of my Thunderbird "76"s.

You Jazz looks pretty smart for a mid '70s instrument- been well looked after.

A beautiful bass and my favourite neck and colour configuration for a Jazz (well, this and the dot and bound '66 in pretty much any colour).  I had a natural '76 for years - again, a stunning instrument with monumental tone and an incredibly low and playable action.  There were some great basses from this period and I've no doubt that this is one of them.  Unfortunately, it's pretty much short-scale only for me only now, and weight is always an issue.  I think my '76 was around 11.5lbs so this one is relatively light!  I'm pretty sure that the weight and density of the timber has something to do with the big, three-dimensional and (potentially) very aggressive tone on these.  GLWTS, for what it's worth and IMO, a very reasonable price for this condition and vintage
