Pow_22
These came on my cabronita bass but the owner didnt know what they were. Standard brass ball ends, black silks at both ends. Glassy shiny ala la bella, not massive tension, very even and even though they are thumpy the E is not a dead thunk. Tempted to say possibly the Marooooooosik’s that are sold by bass direct but cant be sure. Any ideas?
Reggaebass
Could be Dunlop

Never tried dunlop but ive read they are more ‘modern’ type ala chromes/fender?
Clarky
I vote Dunlop too. I have a set on my Serek. Very thumpy and old school, not 'modern' in my view. Very soft to the touch. I am a fan but not of the prices! The 40-100 flats set runs close to £90 😳 1

For some reason the 45-105 set is significantly cheaper than 40-100 in most places (but still in La Bella territory) Edited April 23, 2023 by Clarky
wateroftyne
Could also be Laklands (which are GHS Precision Flats in disguise)
Clarky
Here's a pic from a BC 'for sale' ad of the 5 string Dunlop set
Pow_22
Thanks for all the replies so far. Just doing some more research and some places suggest the silks on Dunlops are slightly 'coated' to prevent fraying. If this is the case then the search goes on as they are just standard silks.....
