Taming the savage beast!

Has anyone got any useful tips on how to tame an aggressive, twangy, "midrangy" bass? Great neck and brilliant to play, but too in your face for my liking. It's a Dean Edge Pro btw. Any suggestions gratefully received as I'm a complete woodentop when it comes to technology!

Cheers

John.

Clang and brightness can be from a very low action and lack of neck relief, so think about adding a bit of height to the strings and introducing a slight bow to the neck so the strings won't clack the frets when you play. Personally I like it low, straight, clanky and clean!
