Songs in strange settings

A long long time ago I was in a Thai restaurant in Salisbury. The music was on traditional Thai instruments. It took me several tracks before I was listening to Prince's greatest hits.

When I was a student in Plymouth I used to go to a Chinese restaurant that always used play Chinese language versions of British and American pop songs with Chinese instrumentation.

The one that sticks in my mind for some reason  is 'Like a Virgin'

My wife and I went for dinner in a local restaurant and we noticed somewhere in the background was a lone guitarist playing an acoustic and singing gently along, nothing unusual until he launched into a fantastic rendition of Kraftwork's The Model...not a song I had ever considered as an acoustic guitar track!
