Caig deoxit alternatives

I cant get deoxit anymore. Nowhere will ship it.

 

Any alternatives? What do you use to clean your pots and jacks?

 

I can get this stuff but not sure it's appropriate

Seems strange you can't get it. I've just been onto Amazon and checked an order I put in Sept 2021 (MCRU company) and tried to buy it. It went into my basket OK but I didn't try paying for it....just in case 🙂

I have a can of WD40 branded contact cleaner from Amazon which has cleaned up several crackly pots & switches nicely.

I believe on checkout it will say they cannot ship to ireland!

I bought my last one a while ago from mains-cables-r-us on ebay.

It's a bit more expensive but they still appear to be selling it on ebay.

The listing says they have stock available and they're UK based.

I'm not sure why they would list It if they won't ship it but, I haven't tried it.

I use Servisol Super 10. The 200ml has lasted me forever.

Good old Servisol, I'll never use up my can.

Tried to buy lead solder (required for historic gear repairs) from RS 2 years ago, would not sell it unless I was in the trade.  Farnell supplied it but have a minimum order surcharge, not sure if RS do.
