ON HOLD PENDING 2013 Fender Precision MIM Trade? - *SOLD* £400 Bristol

Hi all, I purchased this a short while ago and am not using.

Reason? I also stuck a low bid on a Jazz on ebay and to my surprise won it. As I'm stepping into a band with an established sound, I'm using the jazz more so it is time to move this one on.

Potential Trades: A preferably lightweight, black & dangerous long-scale bass that I can use as a backup on a planned tour. Thinking of headless basses like a Yamaha Bx-1, Washburn/Status, Fender MIM or Bass Collection (Jazzer or Mij), Ibanez ATK 810 or Sterling .

 

I'll not go into great detail about the bass as it is as it was in Bassman Sams original post. It is nice condition, has a Seymour Duncan SPB-1 (Vintage P, replica of a Fender 57 P pickup) fitted and has had pup and bridge covers fitted in the past. A nice lightweight (8.3lbs) precision!

 

It is the same as in the original post and hasn't left the house since it's purchase. It now comes without a case but I can box it to post. 

I prefer a swap with money either way.  If not I can sell at the same price that I bought it for. Link and pictures below.

Very tempting. Love the finish. However, as I pointed out in the previous sales post back in Nov, "I zoomed in one of the photos and I think the quarter pounder has bigger pole pieces. Yours looks more like a vintage P or the Hot P. I could be wrong though". So it is either a SPB-1 or 2, not a SPB-3. See also the photos I posted in the previous sales post.

Need to think, but I might be interested in waving a few dollars at you... I might have to lose a bass if I do this though...

 

Is it candy apple red or deep red? (doesn't look metallic in the pics)

It is Candy Apple Red.

If you go to https://serialnumberlookup.fender.com/lookup/  and put in the serial number (MX13409885) and confirm you are not a robot, the model number will appear (in blue) in the search results. Click on it and all the product specs will appear. Interestingly, the serial number suggests a 2013 model but the bass was actually finished in Feb 2014, making it a 2014 model! 

 

I am also still very tempted. Hope someone buys it before I have to explain to my wife why I had to buy two basses on one day 😉
