Quatschmacher Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 (edited) Is there anyone who owns one of these 4-string basses (the USA Sterling or Stingray SLO Special) with access to callipers who could measure the neck depth at the 1st and 12th fret for me. Iād be most grateful as EBMM donāt seem to be replying. Ā @hiram.k.hackenbacker? Edited January 18, 2022 by Quatschmacher Quote

Iāll try and get it done this afternoon, but I have a bass to pack and get quotes for first. 1 1 Quote
petebassist Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 San Luis Obispo neck, i.e. slimmer than a Stingray. Quote
Bunion Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Itās a stingray with a USA Sterling neck so think more jazz size as opposed to P size for the normal stingrayĀ Quote

The nut width is the same (1.5ā) but the carve is a bit different. Theyāre close though. Had both side by side years ago.Ā Quote

Ā Ā Thanks! That's cool. I was leaning towards 21.5mm-23.5mm for my build so am starting to feel like that's a good choice. Ā Any USA Sterling players who could supply those measurements? 1 Quote

I wonder how consistent they are piece to piece; my Sterling was the nicest neck Iāve played (though perhaps equal to my current Lakland). Edited January 18, 2022 by Quatschmacher Quote
