Musicman EBMM Sterling/Stingray SLO Special owners - help needed

Is there anyone who owns one of these 4-string basses (the USA Sterling or Stingray SLO Special) with access to callipers who could measure the neck depth at the 1st and 12th fret for me. I’d be most grateful as EBMM don’t seem to be replying.

Yes, I can do that for you mate. I’ll try and get it done this afternoon, but I have a bass to pack and get quotes for first.

San Luis Obispo neck, i.e. slimmer than a Stingray.

It’s a stingray with a USA Sterling neck so think more jazz size as opposed to P size for the normal stingray

Not quite a Sterling profile. The nut width is the same (1.5”) but the carve is a bit different. They’re close though. Had both side by side years ago.

Thanks! That's cool. I was leaning towards 21.5mm-23.5mm for my build so am starting to feel like that's a good choice.

 

Any USA Sterling players who could supply those measurements?

My USA Sterling is 20.5 mm at 1 and 23.5 mm at 12.

Thank you! I wonder how consistent they are piece to piece; my Sterling was the nicest neck I’ve played (though perhaps equal to my current Lakland).

Speaking of which, if anyone knows the current whereabouts of this one, I’d love to get it back, was mine for about 11 years.
