JPJ Posted September 1, 2021 Share Posted September 1, 2021 So it looks like I’ve blown something in my little TC Electronics BG250 208 combo. Turned it on today and there was a crackling followed by a pop and then no output and that horrible hospital antiseptic smell of knackered electronics. It was one of the first one`s and they had a bit of a rep for it. I didn`t even bother to get it sorted and one of my mates used it as a cab. JPJ Posted November 18, 2021 Author Share Posted November 18, 2021 So I decide to not go down the repair route and instead picked up a secondhand head version of the same amp. Unbelievably, TC use different sized bolts and bosses to attach the feet to the head version than the combo version but after a rummage through the parts drawer, the amp is now safely installed in the combo and all works as it should.
