Spewy Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 I got this off eBay last year as I didnโt have a five string, It needed a bit of work to get it set up properly but itโs now become my go to. I know itโs a bitsa but what do you reckon itโs been made up from?ย Quote
lemmywinks Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 (edited) Old MIM Fenders used to have the tuners arranged like that with the same string tree and no textย on the back, might just be one of those with Barts and a Badass. Edited April 3, 2020 by lemmywinks Quote
Grahambythesea Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 My 1996 USA 5 string bass also had that 5 on one side headstock but with spaghetti logo and small Jazz Bass lettering. Quote

Spewy Posted April 3, 2020 Author Posted April 3, 2020 Yes, itโs active but nothing like as aggressive as my other basses on EMGs.ย The decal is deffo fake Iโll have a look and see if I can find any numbers๐ Quote
lemmywinks Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 (edited) Bartolinis in a passive Jazz sound great in a band context, like a regular J bassย with added thump but still really clear. What circuit does this have in it, is it a Bartolini TC or AGB? Edited April 3, 2020 by lemmywinks Quote

I know it's each to their own but I do like an active bass with a nice sweep of sounds than just having the raw 'metal bass' sound of active 5 strings.ย Looks great, parts or original and I'm sure it sounds great too ๐๐๐ป Quote

The reason I got it was i was playing in a Doom Metal Band with a much more rounded sound and this was perfect, ironically I never got it back from setup before I left๐คฃ As far as Iโm aware itโs all Bartolini circuitry but Iโm not 100% sure. Spewy Posted April 3, 2020 Author Posted April 3, 2020 Not yet, Iโve got one and keep forgetting, I get about 2hrs into rehearsals and Iโm done in normally๐คฃ Quote
