OldGit Posted January 30, 2009 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Looks like one of the less good SX models - it had 21 frets where as the Rondo ones we all rave about have 20. For that money you are into Squier VMJ fretless territory. When i got it the neck needed loosening and pulling a bit so it was aligned correctly (something you have to do on a lot of old Fenders) and the neck pickup rout is a little sloppy. Also the tone pot feels clunky towards one part of it's travel but still works perfectly. This was my first fretless, i didn't wanna spend much but wanted something that looked cool. I was really impressed with it so i stuck with it and upgraded the pickups and pots.
