cthorpey Posted October 15, 2019 Share Posted October 15, 2019 Hi All, I was a good boy, I did my homework and I read the whole of the IEM thread. Following the advice on there I chose the KZ in ears and the Behringer beltpack and have been really happy for 12 months or so. Absolutely loving not lugging a cab all over the place. Bass into HX Stomp, stomp into X18 and X18 back into my head. Marvellous. Now the gas rears its head and I am looking at going wireless for both bass and IEM. We have a run of 12 gigs coming up on a fairly big stage and I really want the freedom to be able to wander around a bit. I tried wandering with the wired iem and it must have looked like someone tried to pull me off stage with a big hook. Definitely not the look I was going for. So my question is this, with no amp or cab behind me where do I put my wireless receiver ( not pedalboard sized) and my iem transmitter? We always set up with the pa rack on the opposite side of the stage from me so it cant go there and I am really not happy about having it all on the floor either. LewisK1975 Posted October 15, 2019 Share Posted October 15, 2019 The traditional approach would be to have your Bass signal receiver with /near your pedal board (if you are using one), and the IEM transmitter in the PA rack. Many bass wireless receivers are designed to go on the floor or on a pedal board. I will have to test the IEM transmitter in the rack. It already has a wireless router and 2 other receivers. Thanks for all your help C. Should be fine as long as you are all on different frequencies. We have 5 transmitters and a router in our rack and none of them interfere with each other.
