Question about sponsored posts.

Are there rules about the type of comments members are/aren't allowed to make on "sponsored" topics?

I made a comment on the thread https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/327176-new-pedals-from-the-prof/ which has since been removed.  I was pointing out some factual errors regarding their website.  I suppose I wasn't overly cheery, but I don't think I was negative.  I recall they replied saying they would address the issues.

Anyway, the topic was renamed - https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/327176-bassics-amplification-and-effects/ and those comments were removed.  Just wondering what the rules etc are.

I believe the site has now been fixed, but not sure. There’s no real ‘rule’ but I’m working with Bassics to help them a little after their promo guy dropped the ball. Keep an eye on it and I’ll feed back your website error stuff to them later today. Cheers

As above ^^, there are no 'hard and fast' rules (other than the general T&C's on behaviour, of course...), but comments on technical 'boo-boos', or knowledgeable advice on improving a post or topic are usually best made by PM, directly to the OP, unless there's some kind of complaint involved, in which case a 'Report' to the Mods and Admins may be more appropriate. Honest, open criticism is a Good Thing, but it's rare that having it posted before the wide world is more beneficial than a discreet 'word to the wise'.
Hope this helps; your valid comments have, naturally, been passed on to those concerned for action.
